Hey...
...Do
you have something you're looking to
trade in or unload?
Then you've come to the right place....
...Do
you have something you're looking to
trade in or unload?
Then you've come to the right place....
In life, the thing that keeps
us down in the dumps are our sins.
Adultery, stealing, hatred,
murder, cursing, lying ...you name it, they all keep us down. (God
calls those things “sins” because, whether anyone knows it or
not, they offend Him. By the way, friend, you're not alone. We've all sinned— sinned against Him!)
Since sin separates us from a holy God
(Isaiah 59:2), who in their right mind wouldn't look to escape His judgment on it?
If you didn't know it, there is an escape ...and, it's a
real bargain. It's called the Gospel (good news).
Let me
quote it...
"...Christ died for our sins according to
the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the
third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen..." (I Corinthians 15:1-8)
You
see, the bad news is that we are all lost—lost in our sins, headed for Hell. But, the
good news is that God saw fit to pay for those sins by sending
Jesus down from Heaven to die in our place. He was our substitute.
Make no mistake about it, friend, sin needs to be paid for, and someone
will have to pay for your sins. The question is who; either you or Jesus? If you'll
accept Him as Saviour, He pays. If you reject Him, you will.
Just that simple.
Two of the greatest verses in the
Bible describes what Jesus came to do...
“For he [God]
hath made him [Jesus] to
be sin
for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of
God in him. [See the swap?]” (II Corinthians 5:21)
“Who his own self [Jesus] bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to
sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were
healed.” (I Peter 2:24)
...See how Jesus took our place, when He died
on the cross? Do you see the swap? Surely, that's good news to you; isn't it...?
